Make Your Printed Presentation Folder Look Even Better
There is no doubt that one of the smartest ways to present your company’s information is in a printed present folder. Most organizations use some form of folder to collate corporate information together for presentations, but how can you make your folder stand out from the rest?
Printed presentation folders are often used in a sales environment. The prospective customer is handed a presentational folder with all the relevant follow up information and perhaps a quotation included inside. This is a time honoured way of presenting information, but if You Are about to get your next set of presentation folders printed, then these tips are aimed at making your presentation stand out from the crowd.
Consider whether your printed presentation folder might benefit from having some “capacity”:
A capacity printed folder is where the spine is a few millimetres deeper with the intention of ensuring that if you are including more than say 8 pages of information in your folder then it will not creek with the extra pages crammed in.
Additional capacity can be included for almost any amount of paperwork to go inside your rented presentational folder. For example, if you know that you are likely to include 30 or 40 sheets of paper — perhaps your terms and conditions — then ask your designer and printer to include additional capacity when they create your presentational folder.
Consider whether to add business card slots to your presentational folder:
Inside your folder there will be space on the pocket to include a couple of slits which can be used to include your business card if you so desire. This is a presentation of tidy way of ensuring that your prospective customer as your details to hand.
From a technical point of view your printed presentational folder will already require what is known as the diecut in order to produce your folder pockets, so the addition of business card slots usually attracts very little additional cost. So be sure to consider whether you would like to include them in your presentational folder.
Consider whether to gloss or matt laminate your printed presentational folder:
Since the whole purpose of getting your folders printed is to make the presentation look great you might like to consider whether to include gloss or matt lamination on the outside of your folder.
Gloss lamination, which is a shiny finish, tends to be more hard wearing. Your prospect will be able to use it as a coffee mat without damaging your presentation folder.
On the other hand I always think that Matt lamination looks classier. It just smacks of quality somehow, though this might give your prospective clients the wrong impression that your services are more expensive. There is no right or wrong as to whether your printed presentational folders should be gloss or matt laminated, though some form of lamination does tend to make them look better with the advantage of your presentational folders being more hard wearing too.
